SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF IDAHO POWER COMPANY’S APPLICATION FOR
PARTICIPATION IN THE WESTERN RESOURCE ADEQUACY
PROGRAM; CASE NO. IPC-E-23-08.

On March 14, 2023, Idaho Power Company (“Company”) applied to the Commission for
an order: “(1) acknowledging the potential for long-term cost savings associated with participation
in the Western Resource Adequacy Program (“WRAP”) and (2) allowing the Company to recover
WRAP-associated costs in a future rate proceeding.” Application at 1.
On April 5, 2023, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of
Intervention Deadline. Order No. 35727. The intervention deadline passed without any intervenors
in this case.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
After conferring with the Company about procedure and timelines, Staff recommends the
Commission issue a Notice of Modified Procedure establishing an August 8, 2023, public
comment deadline and an August 22, 2023, Company reply deadline.
