INT-G-22-02. On May 31, 2022, Intermountain Gas Company (“Company”), applied for authority to implement an interim Purchased Gas Cost Adjustment increasing rates for its RS, GS-1, IS-R, IS- C and LV-1 customer classes, effective August 1, 2022. The Company represents that while its annualized revenues would increase by $67 million, the Company’s earnings would not increase due to increased market costs for natural gas. The Company believes an adjustment now will mitigate the build-up of deferrals and allow customers additional time to budget for the increased winter heating costs. The Company proposes to increase the commodity Weighted Average Cost of Gas to $0.42405 per therm. The Company represents that the average residential customer would see a monthly increase of $10.55 or approximately 24.1%, and the average commercial customer would see a monthly increase of $51.87 or approximately 27%. The Company requests that this matter be processed by modified procedure. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified Procedure establishing a July 7, 2022, public comment deadline, and a July 14, 2022, Company reply comment deadline. DECISION MEMORANDUM 2 COMMISSION DECISION Does the Commission wish to issue a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified Procedure establishing a July 7, 2022, public comment deadline, and a July 14, 2022, Company reply comment deadline?
