SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF IDAHO POWER
COMPANY FOR APPROVAL OR REJECTION OF AN ENERGY SALES
AGREEMENT WITH FAULKNER BROTHERS HYDRO, FOR THE SALE
AND PURCHASE OF ELECTRIC ENERGY FROM THE FAULKNER
RANCH HYDRO PROJECT; CASE NO. IPC-E-22-10.
On April 1, 2022, Idaho Power Company (“Company”) filed an application for the
approval or denial of an Energy Sales Agreement (“ESA”) between the Company and Faulkner
Brothers Hydro (“Seller”). Specifically, the Company requests that the Commission accept or
reject the ESA; and, if accepted, declare that all payments for purchases of energy under the ESA
be allowed as prudently incurred expenses for ratemaking purposes.
The Company requests that its application be processed by Modified Procedure.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of
Modified Procedure, setting a twenty-one (21) day public comment deadline, followed by a seven
(7) day reply comment deadline.
