SUBJECT:INTERMOUNTAIN GAS COMPANY'S APPLICATION TO UPDATE
SECTION C OF THE GENERAL SERVICE PROVISIONS:
TARIFF ADVICE NO.21-01.
On September 24,2021,Intermountain Gas Company ("Company")filed Tariff Advice
No.21-01.The Company's Tariff Advice filing proposes updates to the Allowable Investment
Factors,the Service Line Cost per Foot,and the construction overhead charge.The Tariff Advice
also proposes revisions to tariff language to provide additional clarity to the tariff.The Company
originally requested these changes to become effective on December 1,2021.
The Company is required by Commission Order No.34735 in Case No.INT-G-20-01 to
file an annual tariff advice to update the Allowable Investment Factors,the Service Line Cost per
Foot,and the construction overhead charge each year,by October 1.See Order No.34735 at 9.
This is the first update to the tariff since the new Line Extension Policy was approved in Case No.
INT-G-20-01.
STAFF ANALYSIS AND RECOMMENDATION
Staff reviewed the Tariff Advice and believes additional time is needed to review the
process and line extension since Order No.34735 became effective.Staff also believes a case will
allow additional transparency and an opportunity for developers and interested parties to witness
the process and provide comments for the first update.Staff recommends the Tariff Advice be
processed as a formal case,the effective date of December 1,2021,be suspended and the case be
processed under Modified Procedure with a 28-day comment period and a 7-day Company reply

period.The Company advises Staff that it concurs with this approach,but indicated it needs 30
days after the Order to process and verify the changes before the tariff becomes effective.
COMMISSION DECISION
Does the Commission wish to open a case,suspend the proposed effective date,and issue
a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified Procedure setting a 28-day comment period and a
7-day Company reply period?
