HomeMy WebLinkAbout20210907_dh1.pdfDECISION MEMORANDUM 1 DECISION MEMORANDUM TO: COMMISSIONER KJELLANDER COMMISSIONER RAPER COMMISSIONER ANDERSON COMMISSION SECRETARY COMMISSION STAFF LEGAL FROM: DAYN HARDIE DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL DATE: SEPTEMBER 2, 2021 SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER’S APPLICATION TO INCREASE THE BPA RATE CREDIT EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2021 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2023; CASE NO. PAC-E-21-18. On August 30, 2021, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power ("Company") applied to the Commission requesting an order approving an increase for the Company's current Electric Service Schedule 34—Pacific Northwest Electric Power Planning and Conservation Act Residential and Farm Kilowatt-Hour Credit rate ("Schedule 34"). Customers would receive a rate credit of $0.010133 per Kilowatt-Hour ("kWh") under the proposal.1 Application at 6. The Company requests its Application be processed by Modified Procedure, and proposes an effective date of October 1, 2021. Id. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified Procedure establishing a public comment deadline of September 21, 2021 and a Company reply deadline of September 28, 2021.2 1 The currently authorized Schedule 34 rate credit is $0.008403 per kWh. This credit is authorized through September 30, 2021. 2 This represents a condensed comment and reply period. Staff checked with the Company regarding the shortened reply period and the Company did not object.
