SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF FALLS WATER COMPANY’S APPLICATION FOR
AN ORDER AUTHORIZING INCREASES IN THE COMPANY’S RATES
AND CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE IN THE STATE OF IDAHO;
CASE NO. FLS-W-20-03.

On June 30, 2020, Falls Water Company, Inc. (“Company”) filed an Applica tion
requesting authorization to raise the rates it charges for water service.
On July 16, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of
Suspension of Proposed Effective Date. Order No. 34725. The Commission suspended the
Company’s proposed effective date of August 15, 2020, for the statutory initial maximum amount
of 30 days plus five months. See Id.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Modified Procedure and Notice
of Telephonic Public Hearing. Staff recommends a comment deadline of January 11, 2021, a
telephonic public hearing on January 14, 2021, and a reply comment deadline of January 25, 2021.
Staff will hold a Virtual Public Workshop on January 5, 2021, which will be separately No ticed
by the Commission Secretary. The Company concurs with the proposed procedure and schedule.
