SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF AVISTA’S 2020 ELECTRIC INTEGRATED
RESOURCE PLAN; CASE NO. AVU-E-19-01

On February 28, 2020, Avista Corporation (“Avista”) filed its amended 2019/2020
Electric Integrated Resource Plan (“2020 Electric IRP”).
On March 25, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of 2020 Electric Integrated
Resource Plan and Notice of Intervention Deadline. Order No. 34609. Idaho Conservation League
(“ICL”), Avista, and Commission Staff are parties to the case.
On May 13, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of Modified Procedure and
established a comment deadline of August 19, 2020, and a reply comment deadline of September
2, 2020 and. Order No. 34666. Prior to the Notice of Modified Procedure, the Commission
received requests for a public hearing from ICL, Idaho Forest Group, the City of Sandpoint, and a
small business based in Sandpoint, Idaho.
On June 19, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of Live-Streamed Public Workshop.
Following the Notice of Live-Streamed Public Workshop, the Commission received a comment
from ICL reiterating its request for a public hearing, and at least five other requests for a public
hearing from members of the public.
On July 9, 2020, Commission Staff held a virtual public workshop. At the live-
streamed public workshop, numerous public participants requested a public hearing on Avista’s
2020 Electric IRP.
