SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF RURAL TELEPHONE COMPANY’S PETITION
FOR APPROVAL OF LONG DISTANCE TELECOMMUNICATIONS
SERVICES PRICE LIST; CASE NO. RUR-T-20-01.
On April 30, 2020, Rural Telephone Company (“Company” or “RTI”) petitioned
the Commission for an Order approving its long distance price list. If approved, RTI plans to
begin offering its customers resold intra-state and other long distance services pursuant to the
long distance price list. RTI requested that its Petition be processed under Modified Procedure
and have an effective date of June 1, 2020. Staff reached out to the Company regarding the
proposed effective date and was advised that the Company is agreeable to extending the
proposed June 1, 2020 effective date.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Commission issue a Notice of Suspension, Notice of
Application, and Notice of Modified Procedure setting 21-day public comment and 7-day
Company reply deadlines.
