SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF PACIFICORP DBA
ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER FOR AUTHORITY TO MODIFY
ELECTRIC SERVICE REGULATION NO. 12 RELATING TO LINE
EXTENSION ALLOWANCES, CASE NO. PAC-E-16-13
On October 3, 2016, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power filed an Application
requesting that the Commission approve changes to the Company’s Service Regulation No. 12,
and its Service Schedule No. 300 relating to line extensions. In summary, the Company seeks to
change the calculation methodology on how residential allowances are formulated and obtain
permission from the Commission to modify distribution facilities charges as well as adding new
transmission facilities charges. The Company proposed a February 28, 2017 effective date
On October 14, 2016, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Order
setting an intervention deadline of November 4, 2016, and that Staff develop and recommend a
comment schedule once the intervention deadline has passed. The intervention deadline has
passed with no intervening parties. Accordingly, Staff now requests that the Commission order
that this matter be processed by Modified Procedure, and set comment and reply deadlines.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that this matter be processed by Modified Procedure. Staff further
recommends that the Commission set a January 19, 2017 comment deadline, and a February 2,
2017 reply deadline.
