SUBJECT: PACIFICORP’S APPLICATION TO MODIFY ELECTRIC SERVICE
REGULATION NO. 12 – LINE EXTENSION ALLOWANCES; CASE NO.
PAC-E-16-13
On October 3, 2016, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power filed an Application
requesting that the Commission approve changes to the Company’s Service Regulation No. 12,
and its Service Schedule No. 300 relating to line extensions. The Company seeks authority to
change how allowances are calculated, and make updates and introduce new facilities and
transmission charges. The Company proposes the changes to take effect on February 28, 2017.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
The Company previously updated its line extension process approximately 11 years
ago. See Case No. PAC-E-08-06, Order No. 30684. Because the Company’s filing seeks to
update the allowances, and a change in methodology, Staff recommends a 21-day intervention
period prior to processing the matter further.

Should the Commission issue a Notice of Application setting a 21-day intervention
period?
