SUBJECT:QUESTAR GAS AND DOMINION RESOURCES MERGER AGREEMENT,
CASE NO.QST-G-16-O1
On September 15,2016,Staff submitted to the Commission a decision memorandum
requesting the Commission issue notice of a Settlement Stipulation and implement a ten-day comment
period for customers.To date,the Commission has not issued the notice.Upon further reflection,
Staff suggests that the Commission not issue the notice.Rather,seeing the procedural posture of this
matter,and because the Commission’s approval is not necessary for the Settlement Stipulation and
underlying merger to take effect,the Commission should consider this matter fully submitted.
STAFF RECOMMENDATEON
Because the merger is now final.Staff requests that its previous recommendation to issue
notice of the stipulation,and implementation of a comment period be withdrawn.Finally,Staff
recommends that the Commission consider this matter fully submitted
