RE:APPROVAL OF THE 2016 TELECOMMUNICATIONS RELAY SERVICE
PROVIDER REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL;CASE NO GNR-T-16-05
The Idaho Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS)contract with Hamilton Telephone
Company dba Hamilton Telecommunications to provide TRS services will expire on December
1,2016.As a result,the TRS Administrator has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP)pursuant
to IDAPA 31.46.01 Rule 105.To preserve paper,one copy of the 40-page RFP will be provided
to the Commission Secretary for Commissioners to review.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has reviewed the 2016 REP prepared by the TRS Administrator.Staff recommended
minor changes including updated citations.These changes were incorporated into the document.
The TRS service provider requirements contained in the RFP meet those outlined in the Federal
Communications Commission (FCC)regulations 47 C.F.R.Part 74.Subpart F and Idaho Code §
61-1301.Thus,Staff recommends Commission approval of the 2016 TRS RFP.
