RESPONDENT.)
COMES NOW the Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission by and through its
attorney of record,Donald L.Howell,II,Deputy Attorney General,and respectfully requests that
the Commission allow Staff to file comments in this case and set a schedule for the Respondent
and Complainant to reply.
On February 1,2016,the Commission issued a Summons to Intermountain Gas
Company in the above referenced case.The Summons directed the Company to file a written
response or motion in defense of Mr.Conrad’s formal complaint within 21 days of the service
date of the Summons.The Summons also directed Intermountain Gas to address to four specific
areas of inquiry.The Company filed a timely answer on February 19,2016.
MOTION
Staff has reviewed Intermountain Gas’s answer to the complaint and desires to file
comments in response to Intermountain Gas’s answer.Staff is prepared to file its comments

regarding the Company’s procedures for dispensing information about meter protection no later
than March 7,2016.Once Staff files its comments,Staff believes it is appropriate to allow
Intermountain Gas to file a response to Staffs comments and for Mr.Conrad to file a reply (if
any)to either the Staffs comments,the Company’s response to Staff,or both.Both
Intermountain Gas and Mr.Conrad have agreed to the proposed schedule set out below.
Staff proposes that the Commission adopt the following schedule in this formal
complaint proceeding.Staff further asserts that the proposed schedule comports with
Commission Rules 38 and 249.0l.b.IDAPA 31.01.01.0038 and .249.0l.b.

PRAYER
Based upon the foregoing,Staff respectfully moves the Commission for an Order
