IPC-E-I5-19 SNAKE RIVER ALLIANCE'S AMENDED MOTION TO EXTEND COMMENT DEADLINES The Snake River Alliance, in accordance with Idaho Public Utilities Commission ('.PUC" or "Commission") Order No.22299, Order No. 33346, and IDAPA 31.01.01.056, hereby moves to extend the public comment deadline in this matter from September 21,2015 to October 5, 2015 andto extend the reply comment deadline from October 5,2015 to October 19,2015. The facts to support this motion follow. 1. On June 30,2|ls,Idaho Power Company ("the Company") frled its application seeking acceptance of its 2015 Integrated Resource Plan ("2015 IRP") and a finding that the IRP meets both the substantive and procedural requirements of Order No.22299. 2. On July 24,2015, the Commission set the deadline for any person to submit comments on the 2015 IRP for September 21,2015 and for the Company to submit reply comments by October 5,2015. OrderNo.33346. 3. Ken Miller, Clean Energy Program Director for the Snake River Alliance, served on the 2015 Integrated Resource Plan Advisory Council ("IRPAC") and was an active participant in the development of the 2015 IRP. 4. On September 9, 2015, the Company notified Mr. Miller and others that it intended to call a special meeting of the IRPAC to discuss progress on a community solar project and other updates that were to be specified at a later date. Potential dates for the special meeting included September 28-30 and Oct 1,2015. SNAKE RIVER ALLIANCE - IPC-E-I5-I9 AMENDED MOTION TO EXTEND COMMENT DEADLINES 5. 6. In response to this notice, Mr. Miller inquired about extending the comment deadline on the 2015 IRP by two weeks in case the information shared would impact the content of comments on the 2015 IRP. On September 10, 2015, Karl Klein, Deputy Attorney General for the Commission, stated that Commission Staff does not oppose the Snake River Alliance's request and would not oppose a request to extend filed by the Company. On September 14,2015, Lisa Nordstrom, Lead Counsel for the Company, stated that the Company has no objection to an Alliance or Staff motion requesting a two-week delay in the comment filing deadlines. CONCLUSION For the reasons set forth above, the Commission should grant the Snake River Alliance's amended motion to extend the comment deadlines in this matter from Septertber 21,2015 to October 5,2015 and to extend the reply comment deadline from October 5,2015 to October 19, 2015.
