HomeMy WebLinkAbout20150427_4659.pdfDECISION MEMORANDUM TO:COMMISSIONER KJELLANDER COMMISSIONER REDFORD COMMISSIONER RAPER COMMISSION SECRETARY LEGAL WORKING FILE FROM:BEVERLY BARKER DATE:APRIL 24,2015 RE:AVISTA FILING IN COMPLIANCE WITH ORDER NO.33229 CASE NO.GNR-U-14-01 On March 10,2015,Avista filed its customer communication plan and a proposed tariff revision in compliance with Order No.33229.The Order granted Avista,Idaho Power and Rocky Mountain Power an exemption to the requirements of Rule 311.04 and .05 of the Utility Customer Relations Rules (IDAPA 31.21.01.11.04.and .05). In its filing on March 10,Avista requested an effective date of May 1,2015,for the proposed revisions to Sheet 70.g.1 of its tariff to add a reconnection charge of $12.00 for customers with remote connect/disconnect meters.In subsequent discussions with Staff.Avista indicated it intends to resubmit its filing after making substantive changes to both its plan and the proposed tariff Staff recommends that the Commission suspend the effective dale of the proposed tariff for 30 days in order to provide the Company additional time to submit and Staff to review Avista’s revised filing. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the Commission suspend the effective date of Avista’s proposed revision of Sheet 70g.1 of its tariff for 30 days.
