SUBJECT: APPLICATION OF CAPITOL WATER CORPORATION FOR AUTHORITY
TO INCREASE ITS SCHEDULE NO. 3, PURCHASED POWER
ADJUSTMENT RATE, CASE NO. CAP-W-14-01

On July 11, 2014, Capitol Water Corporation filed an Application to increase its Schedule
No. 3 (Purchased Power Adjustment Rate) to recover the annual increase in its electric rates resulting
from increases in Idaho Power Company’s rates. The Company proposed an effective date of
September 1, 2014. In Order No. 33086 issued July 30, 2014, the Commission decided to process the
Application under Modified Procedure. Pursuant to the Scheduling Order, the Commission Staff
filed timely comments on August 20, 2014.
Based upon Staff’s comments, the Company desires to file reply comments. Given the
Company’s desire to file reply comments, the proposed effective date, and the existing Decision
Meeting schedule, the Commission Staff now recommends that the Commission suspend the
proposed effective date of September 1, 2014, until September 15, 2014, unless the Commission
issues its Order in this case at an earlier time. Idaho Code § 61-622. The Company concurs with
postponing the proposed effective date.
