HomeMy WebLinkAbout20140623_4392.pdfDECISION MEMORANDUM TO:COMMISSIONER KJELLANDER COMMISSIONER REDFORD COMMISSIONER SMITH COMMISSION SECRETARY LEGAL WORKING FILE FROM:STACEY DONOHUE DATE:JUNE 19,2014 RE:PACIFICORP TARIFF ADVICE NO.14-01,REVISIONS TO ELECTRIC SERVICE SCHEDULE 117-REFRIGERATOR RECYCLING On May 22,2014,PacifiCorp,dba Rocky Mountain Power (“Company”),filed an application to modify Schedule 117 to:1)expand the offering from residential customers to all customers that contribute the Company’s energy efficiency tariff rider (Schedule 191)who wish to recycle eligible residential refrigerators or freezers,2)intervene in the secondary market by providing a 520 incentive per unit to participating retailers,and 3)increase the incentive from 530 to 550 for customers.The Company believes that expanding participation eligibility and increasing incentives will help bolster program participation,which has declined 20%since 2011.The Company has asked for an effective date of July 1,2014. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff has reviewed the new tariff and agrees that the proposed revisions will expand program participation and allow secondary market intervention while preserving cost-effectiveness.Staff recommends the Commission approve the revised Schedule 117 tariff sheet. COMMISSION DECISION Does the Commission wish to accept the Company’s revised tariff sheet for Schedule 117, with an effective date of July 1,2014?
