RE:LIGHTYEAR NETWORK SOLUTIONS,LLC’S REQUEST TO CANCEL
CERTIFICATE NO.432;CASE NO.LYC-T-04-O1.
On August 15,2013,Lightyear Network Solutions,LLC (“Lightyear”or “Company”)
submitted a letter to the Commission regarding the transfer of Lightyear’s assets and customers
to lonex Communications North,Inc.dba Birch Communications (“Birch”).
On November 18,2013,Lightyear submitted a second letter to notify the Commission
that the transfer was complete and to request “cancellation of all Lightyear’s authorities effective
no later than December 31,2013.”The request includes the cancellation of the Company’s
Certificate No.432 and all price lists on file with the Commission.A Birch representative
confirmed that both companies provided Lightyear customers with advaxwe notification of the
transfer.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has reviewed the request and recommends Commission approval to cancel
Certificate No.432 and all price lists for Lightyear Network Solutions,LLC.
