SUBJECT: TROY HOFFMAN WATER CORPORATION’S APPLICATION TO
INCREASE RATES AND CHARGES, CASE NO. TRH-W-13-01
On July 5, 2013, Troy Hoffman Water Corporation applied to the Commission for
authority to increase its rates and charges for water service. On July 26, the Company filed
corrected Application pages that reduce the amount of the proposed increase from 72% to 34%.
The Company asks that the Commission process its Application by Modified Procedure, and that
the new rates take effect on January 1, 2014. The Commission issued a Notice of Application on
July 31, 2013. See Order No. 32863.
Staff now recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Modified Procedure setting
a November 14, 2013 comment deadline and a November 25, 2013 reply deadline. Further, the
Commission should schedule a public workshop to occur in Coeur d’Alene sometime between
September 23, 2013, and October 2, 2013. Lastly, Staff recommends that a customer hearing
occur during the second week of December 2013, with any public comments to be due by the
hearing date.

Does the Commission wish to issue Notice of Modified Procedure setting a
November 14, 2013 comment deadline and a November 25, 2013 reply deadline, and schedule a
public workshop, customer hearing, and comment deadline as discussed above?
