INT-G-13-05 On August 9, 2013, Intermountain Gas Company filed its annual Purchased Gas Cost Adjustment (PGA) Application and asked to increase its annualized revenues by $10.3 million, for an overall increase of about 4.15%. Application at 2. The Company says if the Application is approved, residential customers using gas for space and water heating will see a $1.85/month (3.92%) average increase, customers using natural gas for space heating only will see a $0.68/month (1.88%) average increase, and commercial customers would see a $14.18/month (7.26%) average increase. The Company says the main reason for the filing is an increase in the price of natural gas that the Company buys for its customers. The cost to move natural gas through the interstate pipelines to the Intermountain system also has increased. The Company says the proposed changes will not affect its earnings. Id. at 2. The Company asks that the Commission process the Application by Modified Procedure, and that the new rates take effect October 1, 2013. Id. at 10. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the case be processed by Modified Procedure, with comments due by September 18, 2013. A workshop is probably unnecessary. COMMISSION DECISION Does the Commission wish to process this case under Modified Procedure, with comments due by September 18, 2013? M:INT-G-13-05_kk
