RE:POTLATCH TELEPHONE COMPANY (“POTLATCH”)REQUESTING
COMMISSION APPROVAL TO REMOVE WARM LINE,HOT LINE AND
REPEAT DIALING SERVICE OFFERINGS;ADVICE 13-03.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
On July 9,2013.Potlatch flied Advice No.13-03 requesting Commission approval to
eliminate Warm Line,I-lot Line and Repeat Dialing services.The Company is currently in the
process of upgrading some of its switches with new Metaswitches that do not support these services.
Staff contacted the Company to find out how many customers were going to be affected,what
revenue impact this would have on the Company and what notification action was underway.The
Company’s response was that currently there are no subscribers to these services and there will not be
a revenue impact.The Company did state that a bill message would be included in its July 28 bill
notifying all customers that with the switch upgrade,these services will no longer be available.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has reviewed this tariff filing and recommends approval.
