DATE: MAY 7, 2009
SUBJECT: INETWORKS GROUP, INC.’S APPLICATION FOR A CERTIFICATE
OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY, CASE NO. ING-T-09-01
On January 29, 2009, iNetworks Group, Inc. (iNetworks) filed an Application for a
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) to provide resold local exchange and
resold interexchange telecommunications services in the State of Idaho. The Application states
that the Company intends to provide resold local exchange, interexchange, dedicated point-to-
point private line service and dedicated Internet access to business customers only.
The Company intends to offer service throughout all exchanges currently served by
Citizens, Qwest and Verizon. The Company asserts that it is currently in negotiations to
complete interconnection agreements. The Company believes that granting its Application for a
CPCN will further the public interest by expanding the availability of competitive
telecommunications services in the State of Idaho. The Company maintains that it will provide
Idaho customers with access to new technologies and service choices.
The Company states that it possesses the requisite financial, managerial, and
technical capacities to provide the proposed services. The Company does not intend to collect
deposits or require advance payments from customers and, therefore, requests a waiver of the
Commission’s escrow account/security bond requirement.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Application be processed by Modified Procedure.
