RE:POTLATCH TELEPHONE COMPANY'S ADVICE LETTER 10-08P TO
ADD SAFETY LINE SERVICE FOR BUSINESS CUSTOMERS.
On November 30, 2010, Potlatch Telephone Company (Potlatch) filed Advice Letter
10-08P seeking Commission approval to add Safety Line Service for business customers. In this
filing, Potlatch states that Business Safety Line service is an optional bundle for business customers
who have a main telephone service with a wireless provider, but require a landline for emergency
back-up and high speed data. In a follow up email, Potlatch states that the business basic local
exchange service portion of the bundle is priced above cost. The Company requests an effective
date of December 30, 2010.
STAFF ANALYSIS
Staff has reviewed the filing and accepts the cost statement provided by Potlatch. Staff
believes the proposed terms and rates are reasonable and, therefore, recommends approval of
Advice Letter 1 0-08P.
