TO INTRODUCE A NEW OUTBOUND CALL BLOCK FEATURE WITH AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 29, 2010.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
On September 29 2010 , CenturyTel of the Gem State, Inc., dba CenturyLink
CenturyLink") filed Tariff Advice 1 0-03 requesting Commission approval to introduce a new
outbound call block feature for all its flat rate business and residence One-Party Local Exchange
Service customers.
The Company is providing this service in addition to an internet broadband package that it
will begin marketing upon approval. This outbound blocking service will allow the customers the
ability to dial all NIl (911 , 711 , 211 etc.! outbound calls and receive inbound calls only.
ST AFF RECOMMENDATION AND COMMISSION DECISION
Staff has reviewed the proposed new discretionary service offering and recommends
approval. Does the Commission agree?

I All N II calls will be enabled with the exception of 411 - Infonnation Services. 411 will not be included because this
function may be used to complete outbound calls, which are not allowed under this calling plan.
