FILING TO ESTABLISH A LATE PAYMENT CHARGE; TARIFF
ADVICE LETTER ID-10-01.
On July 6 , 2010 , the Commission received Tariff Advice Letter ID 10-0 1 to establish a
late payment charge in the Idaho Rural Exchange Carrier Tariff No. 3 (IREC) for the following
companies: Cambridge Telephone Company, Custer Telephone Cooperative, Inc, Farmers
Mutual Telephone Company, Filer Mutual Telephone Company, and Potlatch Telephone
Company, Inc. This late payment charge is similar to that filed under the National Exchange
Carrier Association, Inc. (NECA) TariffF.C. No. 2.4. (C)(2)(b). In the filing, it is stated that
(o)ther than noted above, this filing will not increase any rate or charge, cause the withdrawal of
service, or conflict with other Tariff sections." This late payment charge will be applied to other
telecommunications companies that purchase intrastate access services from the issuing carriers
listed in the IREC tariff.
The proposed late payment charge will be assessed at a factor of 0.000292 per day,
compounded daily. An effective date of August 4, 2010 is requested. This late payment filing
applies only for those companies listed in the Tariff Advice and not for the remaining
companies that participate in the IREC Tariff.
ST AFF ANALYSIS
Staff has reviewed this filing and recommends that the Commission allow this filing to
become effective on the proposed effective date August 4 2010.
