EXEMPTION FOR CERTAIN SERVICE CHARGES FOR ACTIVE
DUTY U. S. MILITARY; ADVICE NO. 10-02.
On March 12, 2010, CenturyTel ofldaho, Inc. dba Century Link ("Century Link") filed
Tariff Advice No.1 0-02. This filing established an exemption for active duty members ofthe
United States military and their dependents with valid military identification cards. All service
charges typically applicable to central office reconnects will be waived when establishing local
exchange access line service or transferring existing local exchange access line service from one
location to another. The filing defines central office reconnects as customer requests for service
that do not require any physical work beyond the Company s central office.
CenturyLink provided a separate document outlining the revenue impact associated with
this filing. The Company requests an effective date of April 12, 2010.
ST AFF ANALYSIS
Staff has reviewed the filing and the supporting revenue information provided by
CenturyLink. Staff believes the revenue impact of this filing is de minimis. Staff, therefore
recommends approval of CenturyLink's Tariff Advice No.1 0-02.
