SUBJECT: MOTION BY IDAHO TELECOM ALLIANCE FOR EXTENSION OF
TIME TO FILE WRITTEN COMMENTS, CASE NO. GNR-T-09-05
On September 14, 2009, the Idaho Telecom Alliance (ITA) filed a Petition (Motion)
to Extend Time to file written comments. The Commission in Order No. 30894 directed that
companies receiving state Universal Service Funds are required to increase their local residential
rates, and inviting written comments within 21 days. The ITA desires to obtain information
regarding the calculation of the statewide weighted average rate upon which the proposed change
in rates is based. Part of the calculation is based on confidential information provided by
different telecommunications companies, and the ITA requests additional time to obtain the
information and file written comments.
Staff recommends the Commission grant ITA’s Motion to Extend the Time for filing
written comments by 30 days as requested in the Motion.

Should the Motion filed by ITA to extend the written comment period by 30 days be
approved?
