31.21.01 UTILITY CUSTOMER RELATIONS RULES 203.03 AND 204.02.
BACKGROUND
On August 19 2009, Idaho Power (Company) filed Tariff Advice No. 09-05 with proposed
revisions of the Company s Tariff Sheet Nos. G-1 and G-2. The purpose of the filing is to update the
Corrected Billings section of Rule G to better reflect changes made to the Utility Customer Relations
Rules (UCRR) in April of 2008 regarding rebilling customers. UCRR 203.03 and UCRR 204.
were modified to state that a utility can rebill a customer who is overcharged for a period not to
exceed three years and when rebilling a customer who is undercharged, the utility is limited to six
months, unless a reasonable person should have known of the inappropriate billing, in which case the
rebilling period may be extended for a period not to exceed three years.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Commission approve the proposed tariff revision effective
September 19 2009.
COMMISSION DECISION
Does the Commission wish to approve Idaho Power s proposed changes to Rule G of Idaho
Power s tariff with an effective date of September 19, 2009?
