BY THE CITY OF STAR FRANCHISE FEE AND ADDING CITY OF
HOLLISTER FRANCHISE FEE; TARIFF ADVICE NO. 09-04.
BACKGROUND
On July 20, 2009, Idaho Power Company submitted a tariff advice to accept a new Ordinance
for the City of Star franchise fee and add the City of Hollister to the list of cities for which it collects a
franchise fee. The City of Star adopted Ordinance No. 196 on May 21 , 2009 as the city s new
Ordinance to implement its franchise fee. There is no change to the city s current 1 percent franchise
fee since it was in place in May 1999. This new Ordinance No. 196 is to replace the existing
Ordinance No. 21 franchise agreement. The City of Hollister adopted Ordinance No. 2-2009 on April
2009, imposing a franchise fee of 1 %. Copies of the Ordinances were submitted with the
Application.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Commission accept Tariff Advice No. 09-04 for filing with an
effective date of August 20 2009.
