HomeMy WebLinkAbout20090120_2459.pdfDECISION MEMORANDUM 1 DECISION MEMORANDUM TO: COMMISSIONER REDFORD COMMISSIONER SMITH COMMISSIONER KEMPTON COMMISSION SECRETARY COMMISSION STAFF FROM: KRISTINE SASSER DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL DATE: JANUARY 15, 2009 SUBJECT: IDAHO POWER’S APPLICATION TO MODIFY ITS RULE H (LINE EXTENSION) TARIFF RELATED TO NEW SERVICE ATTACHMENTS AND DISTRIBUTION LINE INSTALLATIONS, CASE NO. IPC-E-08-22 On October 30, 2008, Idaho Power Company filed an Application with the Commission seeking authority to modify its Rule H tariff relating to new service attachments and distribution line installations and alterations. Specifically, the Company wishes to increase the charges for new service attachments, distribution line installations and alterations. On November 26, 2008, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Intervention Deadline. Order No. 30687. Four parties petitioned and were granted intervenor status: Building Contractors Association of Southwestern Idaho; City of Nampa; The Kroger Co.; and Association of Canyon County Highway Districts. Pursuant to Order No. 30687, the parties met on January 14, 2009, to discuss the processing of this case.1 RECOMMENDATION The participating parties recommend that the case be processed under Modified Procedure. The parties also agree to serve discovery and other documents via e-mail. The parties further agree that answers to discovery should be provided as soon as possible but no later than 21 days from the date of the discovery request. The parties recommend that Modified Procedure comments be due no later than March 20, 2009. Does the Commission wish to issue a Notice of Modified Procedure setting a March 20, 2009, comment deadline? 2. Does the Commission wish to adopt the schedule as agreed to by the parties? 3.
