QWEST’S MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF COMMENT DEADLINE
On November 26, 2008, Qwest filed a Motion for Extension of Comment Deadline and
Revised Procedural Schedule requesting that the Commission vacate the December 1, 2008 filing date
for comments by Staff and intervenors. The Commission already vacated an earlier Staff and
intervenor filing date because Qwest had expressed an interest in presenting an alternative to
withdrawal of its Statement of Generally Available Terms (SGAT). In its Motion filed November 26,
Qwest confirms that it is developing an alternative approach to withdrawal of the SGAT, and that the
parties are scheduled to hold a conference call on December 3, 2008 to review and discuss the draft
proposal. Accordingly, Qwest requests that the Commission vacate the December 1, 2008 filing
deadline and develop a new procedural schedule to consider Qwest’s alternative filing
Staff recommends that the Commission grant Qwest’s Motion to vacate the December 1,
2008 filing deadline for Staff and intervenors, and approve a new procedural schedule after Qwest files
its alternative proposal.
