RE:VCI COMPANY NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF SERVICE AND
RELINQUISHMENT OF ETC DESIGNATION; CASE NOS. GNR-03-
AND VCI-04-01.
On November 14 2008, VCI Company (VCI) filed with the Commission a notice of
withdrawal of service and relinquishment of ETC designation. On September 2, 2004, the
Commission granted a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) to VCI to
provide basic local exchange services within the state ofldaho. See Case No. GNR-03-
Order No. 29584. In Case No. VCI-04-, vcrs petition seeking designation as an ETC in
Qwest's non-rural service area was approved by the Commission on January 13 2005. See
Order No. 29686.
ST AFF ANALYSIS
Staff has reviewed vcr s notice of withdrawal of service and relinquishment of ETC
designation and recommends that the Commission cancel Certificate No. 433 and revoke vcrs
ETC designation.
