BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
On November 18 2008, Potlatch filed Advice No. 08-04P requesting Commission
approval to introduce three new calling services and to grandfather it Total Talk service.
The three new service offerings are called STAR packages and they each include the
basic local service line plus bundling various custom calling features (call waiting/cancel call
waiting, call forwarding, preferred call forwarding, caller ID , voice mail, etc.) along with long
distance minutes. Each package is priced according to the number of custom calling features and
the number of long distance minutes chosen.
The Company is also grandfathering its Total Talk calling plan for its residential
customers.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has reviewed this tariff filing and finds that it will give customers new choices for
bundling. Staff also believes that the Company will be recovering its costs and recommends
approval.
