RE:TARIFF ADVICE 08-
RATE REVISIONS FOR SCHEDULES 400 AND 401.
On November 6 2007, Rocky Mountain Power (RMP; Company) submitted its
Stipulation supporting settlement of Case No. PAC-07-5, the PacifiCorp General Rate Case.
The Stipulation, among other items, outlines a schedule for retail rates for its two Special
Contract Customers in Idaho, Agrium and Monsanto, through the contract period ending
December 31 , 2010. All parties agreed that regardless of cost of service results, Agrium would
receive a 3% increase in rates for the calendar year of2009 and a 7% increase in calendar year
2010. Similarly, Monsanto would receive a rate increase of 3% in calendar year 2009 and a 5%
increase in calendar year 2010. The Company further agreed to submit before the Commission
revised schedules in November for the subsequent year s retail rates. The Commission found the
Stipulation to be in the public s interest, granting approval through Order No. 30482. RMP has
timely submitted the revised schedules for Agrium (Electric Service Schedule 401) and
Monsanto (Electric Service Schedule 400) to implement the 2009 retail rates as specified in the
Stipulation. Staff has reviewed the proposed rates and confirms that the tariffs reflect the 3%
increase approved by the Commission.
COMMISSION DECISION
Based upon the Stipulation signed by all parties in the P AC-07-5 proceeding, and
approved by the Commission in Order No. 30482, RMP has submitted revised tariffs reflecting
