On June 5, 2007, Silver Star Communications submitted a tariff revision that would revise the service area boundaries between its Irwin, Idaho exchange and the Idaho portion of its Alpine, Wyoming exchange. The current boundaries were established as temporary boundaries due to a lack of facilities from the Irwin central office. Those facilities are now available. The proposed change would revert back to the original boundaries. The Application indicates the change would allow customers around the Palisades Reservoir area from Indian Creek north to Swan Valley to be served out of the Irwin central office and provide access to Irwin dial tone and the Eastern Idaho local calling area. Customers from Indian Creek south to Alpine would have no change in their local calling area. The Company indicated to Staff the existing customers in the area had been notified of the proposed change and were supportive of the change. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Commission approve Silver Star s request to revise the service area boundaries between the Irwin and Alpine exchanges back to the original boundaries as identified in the map on the revised Sheet 103 of its tariff.
