BACKGROUND
On January 8 , 1998 , the Commission issued Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity
No. 337 to MCImetro Access Transmission Services , Inc. The certificate was amended on August 18
2003, when the Commission approved a name change to MCImetro Access Transmission Services
LLC ("Metro
STAFF REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION
On January 11 , 2006, Metro filed Transmittal Letter No. 06-01. In this filing, the Company
seeks a name change to provide a means for a smooth integration of the purchase ofMCI by Verizon.
The Company wishes to change the name to MCImetro Access Transmission Services, LLC d/b/a
Verizon Business Services.
Staff has reviewed the filing and the Company s Certificate of Assumed Business Name issued
by the Idaho Secretary of State on January 3 2006. The price list rates, terms and conditions remain
the same and, therefore, Staff recommends approval of this filing.
