RE:ICG TELECOM GROUP, INC., CANCELLATION OF CERTIFICATE OF
AUTHORITY NO. 356.
BACKGROUND
On May 16, 2002, ICG Telecom Group, Inc., (ICG) filed an Application with the
Commission to modify its certificate that was granted in Case Number GNR-98-9. In its
amended application the Company asked that its service territory be expanded to the entire state.
On June 19 2002, Staff filed comments in support of the Application and the
Commission granted the Company s Application in Order No. 29070 amending the service
territory in Certificate No. 356.
DISCUSSION
On July 21 2005 , the Company notified the Commission that it wishes to cancel its
Certificate of Authority No. 356 effective immediately. The Company also wishes to cancel its
interexchange (IX C) price list that is on file with the Commission. ICG states that the Company
does not have any operations in Idaho and does not have any plans to begin operations in the
future.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Because the Company does not currently have any operations in Idaho and does not
intend to begin any, Staff recommends that the Commission approve the cancellation of
Certificate No. 356 and also remove the Company s IXC price list on file with the Commission.
