SUBJECT:TERRA GRANDE WATER TARIFF ADVICE
NEW SERVICE CONNECTIONS, SCHEDULE NO.
On May 24 2005 Terra Grande Water (TGW) requested approval of new a Tariff
Schedule No.2. Tariff Schedule 2 (attached) for new service connections is being handled as a
Tariff Advice. The current Terra Grande Water Tariff No. 1 , page 3, section 3 provides for
collection of new service connection costs, however, a tariff is not defined. This new tariff will
allow TGW to recover those costs. In this Tariff Advice, TGW has proposed that the cost of a
new service connection be a pass through, of the actual costs for completing a new connection
for water service.
TGW is a small water system supplying 11 7 residential customers. The TGW service
territory consists of a several block area located south ofW. Overland Rd., north ofW. Targee
St., east of S. Milwaukee St. and west of S. Ash Park Lane in Boise. In accordance with
Commission Order No. 29716, TGW customers are served with water purchased from United
Water.
Commission Staff believes it is reasonable and prudent to allow TGW to recover these
actual costs and to provide TGW with exclusive control over those new connections as requested
in the Tariff Advice.
REQUEST
In accordance with IDAPA 31.01.01.134, Terra Grande Water requests that new tariff
Schedule 2 become effective upon Commission approval.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Since the request proposes to only bill customers for actual costs incurred, staff
recommends that TGW's request for new tariff Schedule 2 be approved as requested.

Service Connections:
Terra Grande is responsible for the completion of new service
connections within its certificated area. No such connections shall
occur other than by the direction and authorization of Terra Grande
Water.
Upon a request from a customer or owner renting property for
residential use ("customer ), for a new service connection to Terra
Grande s water system said new customer is responsible for paying
Terra Grande Water for the actual cost of completing a connection
for water service to Terra Grande s Water system. These
connection costs include but are not limited to all costs for
engineering, installation and materials, which include but are not
limited to piping for a new connection between the water main and
the residence, a meter set (does not include a meter), a vault and a
stop valve.
The Company shall follow the "Rules and Regulations of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission Governing
Customer Relations of Natural Gas, Electric, and Water Public Utilities Under the Jurisdiction of the Commission
