RATE STRUCTURE FOR ISDN PRI SERVICE
On September 7 2004 , Verizon Northwest, Inc. submitted Advice No. 04-07. In this
filing, the Company requests approval to add a new rate structure with discounts for ISDN PRI
service based on quantity and term. The Company proposes two new pricing options under a
2- and 3-year plan. In addition, discounts will be based on quantities of 1-5 pros for Package
and 6 or more PRIs for Package 2. Verizon will allow eligible customers on existing PRI
contract plans to convert to the new plans without penalty provided the new contract is equal to
or greater than the remaining value of the existing contract plan. Customers who do not wish to
purchase these plans may continue to select from the existing ISDN term and volume services.
Verizon requests an effective date of September 21 , 2004.
STAFF REVIEW
The Staff reviewed the tariff changes and finds that the proposed optional pricing plans
are priced above Verizon' s costs. Therefore, Staff recommends Commission approval of this
filing.
