ACCOUNT RETENTION SERVICE AND GRANDFATHER TEMPORARY
SUSPENSION OF SERVICE
On June 30, 2004, Potlach Telephone Co. filed Tariff Advice Number 04-02P requesting
Commission approval to grandfather Temporary Suspension of ServiceN acation Service and add
Account Retention Service. Account Retention Service will allow one-party residential and business
customers to retain their current phone number and associated features when they temporarily
disconnect service. This new service will be available for a minimum of one (1) month and up to a
maximum often (10) months. Potlach proposes to offer this service for a monthly fee of$5.00.
Facilities are not guaranteed and standard connection fees will apply when service is restored.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has reviewed the Company s filing and finds the addition of Account Retention Service to
be an acceptable alternative for Temporary Suspension of Service. Staff recommends approval of this
filing to become effective July 30, 2004.
