RE:ADVICE 03-12-N AND 03-06-S TO REVISE TOLL RESTRICTION
RATES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COMMISSION'S ORDER 29337,
CASE NO. QWE-03-15, TO BE EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2003
Qwest filed these tariff advices to modify the rates for Toll Restriction Service in both the
northern and southern regions and to move the service listings from the Catalog to the Basic
Local Exchange Tariff in Southern Idaho. These changes were made pursuant to Commission
Order No. 29337 issued in Case No. QWE-03-15.
Specifically, in the southern exchange tariff, Qwest added a complete Toll Restriction
Service that would block 1 + calls, international calls, dial around calls, Information sales
Operator service and long distance information calls. The service does not block toll-free
services, calls to 950 numbers and local information calls. Toll Restriction will be provided at
no charge to qualifying Telephone Service Assistance Program customers.
In both Northern and Southern Idaho monthly rates were increased and nonrecurring
charges were decreased in accordance with Commission order. The local monthly residential
rate is now $.75 and the business rate is $2.00. According to Qwest, customer notices were sent
in about September.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval ofthese compliance Advices 03-12-N and 03-06-S to be
retroactively effective to October 1 , 2003. Does the Commission agree?
