RE:VERIZON NORTHWEST, INC. ADVICE NO. 03-10 TO PROVIDE THE
OPTION OF CALLING NUMBER IDENTIFICATION WITH NAME FOR
ISDN PRI CUSTOMERS, EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2003
Verizon filed this Tariff Advice to establish an optional Calling Line Identification
(CUD) with Name option that allows an ISDN PRI customer to have the directory number and
name of the calling party. ISDN PRI is integrated digital Access Service between the customer
and the Verizon serving central office. This currently tariffed service is provided over a T -lor
DS-1loop. Calling Number ID is currently inherent in ISDN-PRI. CLID expands the service to
also provide Calling Name.
An Add or Change Charge will apply when this feature is added to established service
but will not apply if the feature is installed with the initial PRI order. CLID is available on a
month to month basis for $85 per month or on aI-, 3-, or 5-year term commitment for $75, $70
or $65 per month, respectively, per ISDN Access (to serve up to 24 lines).
Verizon filed a revenue/cost analysis that estimates about 22 sales per year and will earn
a nominal increased revenue.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of Advice No. 03-01 to be effective August 1 , 2003. Does
the Commission agree?
