HUNT SERVICE EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2003
Verizon filed this Tariff Advice to establish the rate, terms and conditions for Line Hunt
Service. Line Hunt Service is used by a customer with more than one line in order to route an
incoming call to an available (non-busy) line. If a line is busy, this service will hunt for an idle
line in order to complete the call. Line Hunt must be on each line arranged in a hunt group. Line
Hunting is not allowed from measured- or message-rated lines to flat-rated lines.
According to Verizon, Hunting has been made available to multi-line customers, but the
service is not rated or tariffed. Verizon is filing this tariff to correct that oversight. Verizon
proposes this service at $1.00 per month per line in a hunt group. Verizon has issued notices to
existing customers.
Verizon s cost support data projects about 10 000 units and will net a revenue increase in
excess of$100 000 per year.
