RE:QWEST AND STAFF'S STIPULATION TO EXTEND THE COMMENT
PERIOD REGARDING THE PROPOSED CLOSURE OF THE BOISE AND
POCATELLO PAYMENT CENTERS, CASE NO. QWE-03-
On April 9, 2003 , the Commission issued Order No. 29218 directing that interested
persons submit comments in response to Qwest's Application to close its Boise and Pocatello
customer payment centers (CPCs). Comments were due no later than May 7 2003.
On May 5 , 2003 , the Commission Staff and Qwest entered into a Stipulation calling
for an extension of the comment deadline. More specifically, the parties recommend that the
comment period should be extended to May 16, 2003. The parties assert that the only comments
filed thus far relate to the closure of the Pocatello CPC. The parties maintain that it would be
beneficial to permit a modest amount of additional time for members of the public to provide
written comment should they be interested in doing so." Stipulation at

Given the Stipulation between the Staff and the Company, does the Commission
desire to extend the comment period in this matter to May 16, 2003?
