RE:IDAHO RURAL EXCHANGE (IRE C) TARIFF REVISIONS TO
REPLACE ORIGINAL IREC TARIFF ON FILE WITH THE
COMMISSION
On October 10 2002, The Idaho Telephone Association ("ITA") submitted a revised
Idaho Rural Exchange ("IREC") tariff to replace the current tariff on file with the Commission.
The IREC Tariff is the Access Tariff for all the Idaho Independent Telephone Companies.
effective date of November 12 2002 was originally requested. However that date was changed
as a result of the large undertaking this project has entailed. The requested effective date is now
December 27, 2002.
Staff has been working closely with ITA's consultant, Moss-Adams, to clean out old
tariff items that are no longer relevant and to add and clarify more recent elements that reflect the
telecom industry of today. Most of the effective dates contained in the current tariff on file date
back to 1990. This filing is essentially a housekeeping measure and there have been no rate
changes associated with it.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the new IREC Tariff to be effective December 27 2002.
