HAMMOND DATE:SEPTEMBER 18, 2002 RE:MOTION BY AT&T FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE REPLY COMMENTS IN CASE NO. GNR-02-11, CENTURYTEL'S REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF TARIFF CONTAINING DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS. On September 5 2002, AT&T Communications of the Mountain States, Inc. filed a Motion for an Extension of Time to File Reply Comments in this case. AT&T contends this extension of time is necessary in order to respond to the many important issues that have been raised by the filed comments. Accordingly, the Company requests that the Commission grant an extension of time to file reply comments until September 19, 2002. WorldCom concurs with AT&T's Motion. No other party has filed a response to the Motion to this point. STAFF RECOMMENDATION After reviewing the record in this case, Staff has no objection to the Commission granting AT&T's Motion. Staff believes that allowing the parties additional time to file reply comments will develop the record more fully and ultimately assist the Commission in its review of this case. If the Commission grants AT&T's Motion , Staff suggests that the Commission allow interested person and parties to file reply comments by Monday, September 30, 2002.
