RE:ADVICE NO. 02-03P FROM TDS TELECOM TO COMBINE ITS TROY
AND POTLATCH TELEPHONE TARIFFS INTO ONE NEW TARIFF.
On January 1, 2002, the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ordered Troy Telephone
Company and Potlatch Telephone Company to merge their respective companies. Order No.
28938. As part of that Order, Potlatch Telephone Company submitted its new combined tariff on
June 26, 2002, and asked for an effective date of July 26, 2002.
No rate changes are proposed as part of this filing. However, some language was
modified, formatting updates were made, and some irrelevant items have been removed as part of
the new tariff. For example, the local exchange map has been updated, service descriptions from
both Troy and Potlatch tariffs were combined into one section, and customer premises equipment
language has been removed, as these services are no longer regulated.
Staff has reviewed the new tariff and the changes proposed by the Company and points
out that no substantial changes have been made and no revenue impacts are expected as a result
of this filing. Therefore, Staff recommends approval of Advice No. 02-03P.
