IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION
MINUTES OF DECISION MEETING
February 5, 2018 – 1:30 P.M.
In attendance were Commissioners Paul Kjellander, Kristine Raper and Eric Anderson were in
attendance. Commissioner Kjellander called the meeting to order.
The first order of business was APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS
MEETING on January 29, 2018. The Commission voted unanimously to approve the minutes
as written.
The second order of business was CONSENT AGENDA:
2. Daniel Klein’s February 2, 2018, Decision Memorandum re: Qwest Corporation d/b/a
CenturyLink QC’s Application for Approval of an Interconnection Agreement with Matrix
Telecom, LLC. d/b/a Excel Telecommunications (fka Comtel) for the State of Idaho; Case
No. QWE-T-18-02.
3. Daniel Klein’s February 2, 2018, Decision Memorandum re: Qwest Corporation d/b/a
Centurylink QC’s Application for Approval of an Interconnection Agreement with Matrix
Telecom, Inc. d/b/a Vartec Telecom (fka Comtel) for the State of Idaho; Case No. QWE-T-
18-01.
4. Daniel Klein’s February 2, 2018, Decision Memorandum re: Qwest Corporation d/b/a
Centurylink QC’s Application for Approval of an Interconnection Agreement with Matrix
Telecom, LLC. d/b/a Matrix Bus Technologies d/b/a Trinsic Communications for the State
of Idaho; Case No. QWE-T-18-03.
There were no questions and Commissioner Kjellander made a motion to approve Staff’s
recommendations for items 2, 3 and 4 on the Consent Agenda. A vote was taken on the motion
and it carried unanimously.
The next order of business was FULLY SUBMITTED MATTERS:
5. Deliberation re: In the Matter of Idaho Power’s Application for an Order Approving
the Sale and Transfer of Certain Assets to the City of Meridian, Idaho; Case No. IPC-E-17-
17. [Karl Klein, Attorney]
Commissioner Kjellander stated item 5 under Fully Submitted Matters would be deliberated
privately. There was no further business before the Commission and he adjourned the meeting.
