Falls Water Company Application for Approval of Three Capital Projects

REQUEST NO. 10: Please provide a copy of the Company's Curtailment Plan. If the
Company does not currently have a Curtailment Plan, please provide an explanation of
when a plan will be documented and implemented, how curtailment is currently
managed, and how customers are notified if curtailment is necessary.
Response:
Currently, the Company does not have a Curtailment Plan. The Company will develop
a curtailment plan by the end of July 2021. The Company will share this plan with staff
upon completion of the document. The implementation of the plan would occur at the
beginning of 2022.
Currently, the Company has an odd/even day watering schedule that has been in place
each summer since 2013. It is voluntary on the part of the customers. The Company
has not had a prolonged curtailment issue in the past. As the system has grown,
additional supply has been put in place as needed.
If curtailment were necessary before implementation of the plan, the customers would
be notified using our mass notification system and local TV news media for immediate
notification. Further information would be mailed to the customers to provide details
about the water restrictions.
