The Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, by and through its attorney of record,
Brandon Karpen, Deputy Attorney General, request that Falls Water Company, Inc. (Company;
Falls Water) provide the following documents and information as soon as possible, by FRIDAY,
MARCH 31,2017.
This Production Request is continuing, and the Company is requested to provide, by way
of supplementary responses, additional documents that it or any person acting on its behalf may
later obtain that will augment the documents produced.
Please provide answers to each question, supporting workpapers that provide detail or are
the source of information used in calculations. The Company is reminded that responses
pursuant to Commission Rules of Procedure must include the name and phone number of the

In addition to the written copies provided as response to the questions, please provide all
Excel and electronic files on CD with formulas activated.
REQUEST NO. 1: Please describe the process by which amounts are posted to the Plant
Reserve Account created by Order No. 32663. Please include within your response a recent
accounting entry that includes the date posted, accounts posted, and both the debit and credit
amounts in the transaction.
REQUEST NO. 2: Please describe the process by which amounts are withdrawn from
the Plant Reserve Account created by Order No. 32663. Please include within your response a
recent accounting entry that includes the date posted, accounts posted, and both the debit and
credit amounts in the transaction.
REQUEST NO.3: Please provide a list of expenditures/withdrawals from the Plant
Reserve Account by year (2012,2013,2014,2015,2016 and 2017 [through February 28,2017)).
Please include within your response:
a. The type of expenditure;
b. The reason/justification for the expenditure/withdrawal;
c. Document/transaction/identification number for expenditure/withdrawal;
d. Dollar amounts and account numbers where posted; and
e. Documentation supporting the expenditure/withdrawal such as an invoice.
REQUEST NO. 4: Please provide the underlying accounting detail (such as a trial
balance or general ledger) in the Plant Reserve Account for Calendar Years Ending 2015 and
20t6.
REQUEST NO. 5: Please provide banks statements supporting the special plant reserve
fund balance.

Application. Please include within your response the dollar amount for each activity by vendor
and specifically identiff those activities performed by the water company and any
affi liated/related companies and individual s.
